They trusted me :
But the reality can be quite different :
We agree: it's a real headache! 🤯
I've been offered a 15 m³ removal package. Is that enough?
Is anything missing from the offer?
Is the International Assignment allowance enough to cover the costs for this assignment ? Can I request more in terms of allowance(s) or benefits to my employer ?
Is the social/health coverage offered sufficient/legal? What will happen for my Pension ?
Has my employer anticipated my situation?
Make no mistake: every non-negotiated term can be costly.
Think you can handle everything yourself? Beware: the terrain of expatriation is littered with pitfalls that only an expert eye can detect.
And if that wasn't complex enough, don't forget that every company has its own rules.
You're probably going to do some research on the web: forum discussions, articles, videos...
What you see may be misleading, because what worked for someone else may not work for you.
You can't afford to base impactful decisions like these on 'hearsay' or general cases.
And it's a fact that, as an employee, you're often less well-equipped to evaluate objectively the offer made to you.
The details of the expatriation package can be confusing. And while you're struggling to understand, time is running out.
HR often expects you to respond quickly, putting you in an uncomfortable position.
The risk? Accepting an offer that looks attractive at first glance, but doesn't actually match your long-term interests. This rush creates fertile ground for regret, confusion and frustration.
And obviously, once an offer has been accepted, it's very difficult to submit new requests and negotiate.

PARAGRAPH
The details of the expatriation package can be confusing. And while you're struggling to understand, time is running out.
HR often expects you to respond quickly, putting you in an uncomfortable position.
The risk? Accepting an offer that looks attractive on the surface, but doesn't actually match your long-term interests. This rush creates fertile ground for regret
and frustration.
Not to mention that, once an offer has been accepted, it's very difficult to come back with demands after the fact and negotiate.
Leave nothing to chance.
I offer you a quick and reliable initial insight into your international mobility issues. Avoid the risks of a worst case scenario in just one session!
It's time to get tailored answers that really fit your reality.
Faced with doubts and pressure, I'm here to help.
I understand 100% the challenges you're facing. I've been there during my expatriation to India and helped professionals like you navigate this complex process.
In just 60 minutes, I bring you decisive 1ᵉʳˢ tips to take back control over your negotiation.
For a more detailed analysis, an additional consultation can be booked.

Ideal if you have time to prepare and reflect on your expatriation
500 € INCL. VAT
This option includes a 60-minute consultation session during which we will discuss your specific issue in detail (expatriation offer, negotiation strategies, retirement, preparation for departure...). You leave with an action plan and the record of the call in your hands to reflect again on the strategies later on.
Perfect if you need expert feedback in record time
900 € INCL. VAT
If you need immediate priority advice, especially if you have a short HR-imposed cooling-off period, this option guarantees appointment availability options within a week.
Special case for the Expat Hour Call option: If you're on the other side of the world (I am based in France), with a significant time difference (3 hours more or less), and there's no slot that suits you at the time of booking, here's how to proceed: go to the end of the booking process (book the first slot you find), then email me your availability, and we'll investigate alternative possibilities to the initial slot. Otherwise, by default, the slot initially booked will be applied and if necessary it will be done hybrid (by Loom + written summary).
I challenged myself to obtain 2 American certifications in International HR and International Mobility.
Why did I choose these certifications?
For their significant business orientation, which gives me a US and international perspective of expatriate management.
I'm the only HR freelancer in France to hold these two certifications (SPHRi and GPHR), which I renew every 3 years to ensure that I'm always up to date on these expertise topics.
I joined the EXPAT PRO network
Expat Pro is a network of expatriation experts.
For the moment, it's a French network, with plans to expand internationally.
Its aim is to put expatriates in touch with professionals selected for their expertise. This made direct sense to me.
Expat Pro is totally in line with my values and what I stand for via the Expat Hour Call : to provide expatriates with the best possible support in their quest for solutions to their questions.
No longer leaving them alone in the face of misunderstandings, which can have disastrous consequences for their expatriation.
A one-hour call is perfect for an initial insight. For a more detailed analysis and especially if you need calculations or to review accuracy of calculations done by your HR, a separate personalized consultation is required. A quotation will be provided to help you validate and/or negotiate your offer as this depends on the complexity of your offer.
If, after our session, you need further support, I'll arrange a personalized consultation to address your situation in depth.
Yes, the 1-hour call is suitable for strategically guiding you through situations of breach of contract. We'll examine the conditions of return and discuss the best approaches. For more detailed support, an in-depth consultation can be arranged.
With my experience in several sectors (startup, military, industry, services...), I can offer advice tailored to your situation, far beyond the general answers you might find on forums. I have a 360° and strategic view of the situation, which enables me to provide you with the best answer for your specific case.

In accordance with French law for customers, it is possible to cancel the session within 14 (fourteen) days of its conclusion, free of charge and without having to give reasons. In view of this period, WITH MY EXPAT COMPASS will not be able to begin providing the Service before the end of the cancellation period, except if you wish to proceed with the fast track option. Then the cancellation period is not applicable.
GDPR validation is necessary to ensure the confidentiality and security of sensitive information we may share, in accordance with applicable regulations.
I provide consulting and operational assistance to various organizations. As a result, I will not be able to process requests from employees of organizations for which I have provided / am providing a service.
During the preliminary questionnaire, I will ask you for details of your current employer in order to carry out this check. Later in the process, you may be asked for proof of employment (pay slips in particular) to check the feasibility of the service WITH MY EXPAT COMPASS. Indeed, in case of conflict of interest, WITH MY EXPAT COMPASS will be due to cancel the service and to refund you accordingly.
Of course you can! Click here to access the WITH MY EXPAT COMPASS T&Cs. If you can't find what you're looking for, please send an e-mail to [email protected] and we'll get back to you.
